I can’t even understand the controversy. It clearly is not a decision someone would easily make, especially being so in the public eye. I think it’s great that she’s been so open about her decision. I think whether or not it was preventive or post cancer, it’s still amazing that she’s so open about it because it’s gotten so many more people talking about this kind of surgery, which I can imagine for many people is extremely difficult to accept in our highly sexualized culture.
